Coronation Street fans think they have ‘worked out’ who will be the victim of the upcoming armed siege – and not everyone is convinced it’ll be Carla Connor, DS Lisa Swain or Rob Donovan.
It had previously been confirmed that after Rob would return to Weatherfield after he went on the run after being pushed down the stairs by his sister Carla amid his prison escape plan.
It was then in scenes this week that Rob was seen back on the Street, weeks after going on the run following being a kidney donor for Carla, and looked to his ex-fiancee Tracy Barlow for help.
While she reluctantly agreed to help Rob, who was clearly in a bad way as he later collapsed and started bleeding on the sofa, Tracy found herself on the other end of the escaped prisoner’s despair.
He was seen weilding a gun and demanded she call his sister Caral, weeks after they last came face-to-face when, with the help of prison officer Mandy, they kidnapped Carla and took to to an abandoned warehouse.
Spoilers for the week ahead have already confirmed that a character will be injured in the upcoming siege after it was previously announced in a trailer for Corrie’s March drama that Rob takes both Tracy and Carla hostage in Ken Barlow’s beloved home, No.1 Coronation Street.
But now a new preview clip has provided a clue as to who the victim of the dramatic stand-off could be – or more so who it can’t be as Tracy is nowhere to be seen.
In the new clip, for scenes to air on Tuesday (March 25) as Rob rages at Carla with her pleading: “I didn’t know Tracy was going to do that!” But an increasingly angered Rob shouts that she’s a “liar” while keeping the gun in his hand.
While no more details about Tracy are uncovered, seconds into the clip Carla’s girlfriend DS Lisa Swain arrives, slowly walking in to Ken’s living room and telling Rob not to shoot Carla, before seemingly taking Tracy’s place as a hostage.
But Corrie fans are divided about whether the clip shows Lisa really locks the back door of No.1, leaving them wondering if her daughter, Betsy Swain, could still end up involved in the shocking showdown
