After raising over $230 million, Humane has sold its company, including its Cosmos operating system, technical talent and intellectual property to HP for $116 million.

HP says that the investment “will rapidly accelerate [its] ability to develop a new generation of devices that seamlessly orchestrate AI requests both locally and in the cloud.” It seems like HP is planning to use the tech from Humane in its HP devices such as AI PCs, smart printers and connected conference rooms.

The Humane engineers will join HP’s new IQ innovation lab to focus on building new tech for the future of work. You can read more about the acquisition on Humane’s website.
